The new performance by the Italian pianist Ludovico Einaudi is based on his new work, Nightbook, an album composed during the former tour. Einaudi is quite acquainted with Portugal, a country with whom he developed a strong and unusual empathy, creating strong artistic and personal relations – he played, for instance, with Rodrigo Leão. The Portuguese audience has already had occasion to applaud this pianist’s solitary side, but this time Ludovico travels with his sextet – Federico Mecozzi (violin/guitar), Mauro Durante (violin/percussion), Antonello Leofreddi (viola) Marco Decimo (cello) and Robert Lippok (electronics) – revealing another side of his work, even more intense and kinematics. The concert counts also with the collaboration of Matteo Ferroni (live image manipulation).
