Due to illness, the argentinean writer Alberto Manguel will not attend the opening conference of the Fervor de Buenos Aires Festival. The conference will be assured by Rodrigo Frésan, author of "Kensington Gardens" recently published in Portugal.
Born in Buenos Aires in 1963, Rodrigo Frésan is considered an expert on the South American new literature (in spanish language). Frésan works as a journalist since 1984 writting about pop music, cinema, gastronomy and culture. According to the reviews, his literary work is characterized by an hipnotic and digressive prose. Besides "Kensington Gardens", the novels "Esperanto", "La Velocidad de Las Cosas" and "Mantra", translated into many laguages, are also remarkable.
