Crioulo takes as theme Cape Verde’s origins and the idiosyncrasies of its people, addressing issues such as slavery, trade and people migration, in the past and at present, framed in an Africa-Europe dichotomy. António Tavares, a Cape Verdean choreographer, dancer and musician, conceived a multidisciplinary performance, where music and movement live through strains between the oniric gentleness and the energetic rhythm, reflex of the intensity and dramatic narrative.
