Madureira's work, premiered by Sete Lágrimas in the liturgy of 2010’s Pentecost day, reveals with great mastery a way of dialogue between contemporary secular traditions of the greatest Portuguese poets (such as Sophia de Mello Breyner, Maria Gabriela Llansol and Mário Cesariny) and scholarly medieval traditions.
In this conceptual programme, Codaxian songs will be played interspersed with parts of the Mass, seeking an incantatory effect.
