The series of concerts transmitted by Antena 2 National Broadcast to celebrate the bicentennial of Joseph Haydn's death ended in December 2009 with a concert by Lacerda Quartet.
Lacerda Quartet now returns with the release of a disc tribute to the “father of the string quartet”. The choice fell on his first quartet, op. 1 No. 1, the fourth of the quartets op. 20, considering one of the most emblematic of his Sturm und Drang period, and his last complete quartet, op. 77 No. 2.
Therefore, Lacerda Quartet presents three distinct periods of the increased creativity of this great composer.
