The Grupo de Música Contemporânea de Lisboa (Lisbon Contemporary Music Ensemble) celebrates two events at the CCB: its 40th anniversary and the 70th anniversary of his founder, Jorge Peixinho.
SMALL AUDITORIUM - EDUARDO PRADO COELHO ROOM
One of the first ensembles specialized in the dissemination of contemporary music presents in this celebratory concert works and authors who marked their path, namely: Constance Capdeville, Clotilde Rosa, Jorge Pexinnho and, in world premiere, a piece the GMCL has commissioned to the composer João Madureira. Before the concert, personalities from the Portuguese musical scene attend a conference which will address the current and pioneer role of GMCL regarding the enlivening of contemporary music in Portugal.
