This time, it will be performed a Haydn quartet, a style pretty much explored by the composer that was, without doubt, the great responsible by its popularisation, still manifest today. By Mendelssohn, we will listen to the famous Octet in E flat major, a piece that comprises an ensemble somewhat unusual (two string quartets) and that was composed when Mendelssohn was only 16 years old (1825). The composer Robert Schumann has always been admired by the precocious genius this work demonstrates.
