The collaboration between Carlos Barreto (one of the best portuguese double bass players) and Kirk Lightsey (who played with giants such as Dexter Gordon, Pharoah Sanders, Betty Carter and Chet Baker) goes back to the 80s. At that time, the portuguese jazz musician was living and playing in Paris.
The duet performed for the first time in Portugal, in 1998, at the Hot Clube Portugal. In 2008, this time at the Centro Cultural de Cascais, their performance was full of intensity and profoundness, in a constant search for innovation and new musical paths.
