During the whole month of August, on Fridays and Sundays, The Apordoc and doclisboa planned the sessions dedicated to different countries and to contemporary themes. Released works on Brazil, Latin America, Asia and Turkey are part of the selection.

Based upon footage, interviews and official documents, José Padilha presents a research on a busload of passengers’ hostage that took place on June 12th 2000, in Rio de Janeiro. The director tells in parallel the life story of the gunman, establishing a dialogue between the two stories. An enlightening speech on the origins of violence in Rio De Janeiro.
