Member and musical director during several years of the legendary Quarteto Patria, more recently El Grupo Patria, and a fundamental component of the Buena Vista Social Club project, Eliades Ochoa is a living legend from the Cuban song. Songs such as “Chan Chan”, “El Cuarto de Tula” or “El Carretero”, performed by Eliades, were in the origin of the success of this historical record (more than ten million copies were sold), and conquered a Grammy in 1997.
