The guitar player André Matos plays in this trio with Demian Cabaud and Alexandre Frazão, where versatility and freedom are its fundamental characteristics.
Coming from ensembles “cum laude” at the Berklee College of Music and at the New England Conservatory, André Matos is one of the new revelations of the Portuguese jazz guitar. Either leading its own ensembles, either integrating ensembles such as Mikado Lab or playing with Sara Serpa, his music is drawing the attention even to the most distracted.
His trio with Demian Cabaud and Alexandre Frazão has as its line wire the empathy between the three musicians, and as its motto freedom, with simple melodies and rigorous harmonic criteria placed to help improvisation, this one more elaborated in its parameters and more untied.
