In L.A., whose initial concept stems from the diaries of the two young men responsible for the columbine massacre, we seek to locate the possibility of generating a vision of humanity in the crystalline transparency of the uttered word.
this word is about the destructive impetus of anger and war. we imagined what would happen if the shape of the iliad – the founding narrative of the western civilization, but also a text about the mother of all wars - would literally follow its content and remain only its fragments. what we have are bits of torn text as the smell of flesh in the melee of a lethal encounter, the proud roar of the virile warrior animal, the remains of heroes who longed to be gods, the vibrant word of order and the breathed word of regret.
