Sofia Fitas defines her own research while performer and choreographer using three key words: intuition, experimentation and becoming.
Experimento 2 carries on the work developed in the solo Experimento 1 – First Prize in the 13th Canarias International Festival of Contemporary Dance (2008).
Questioning the perception of the bod, Experimento 2 seeks to create a body in a continuous act of passing from one state to another, where there is not a defined territory, yet where one discovers several real and virtual paths.
After the presentation of the solo in Paris, the critic Guy DeGeorge wrote: "[...] firstly I think on what she does not do: forms, recitation, aestheticism, glorification of the body, eroticism, discourse, context. From the above mentioned, I realize that she leads me to a new state of emotions [...] “.
