COLLISION(S)ISABELLA SOUPARD
Imagine how everything could have been different if, in that very moment, a certain situation did not have happened. In this sense, collision might be understood as any event with profound impact on our lives, albeit being an ordinary occurrence. This is choreography of gestures and senses. A chaotic pile of points of view, of alternative life sceneries. The word collision refers to the notions of accident, speed and to the unpredictability of situations. There are several types of accidents, from the most banal to the most tragic, from natural catastrophes to industrial and scientific disasters, but also the happy event, from a stroke of luck to love at first sight. The accident is a surprise, an unexpected occurrence, unpredictable. In “Collision(s)", Isabelle Soupart focuses on events that could not have happened or even that should not have happened, but still happened the same.
On November 6, the performance will be followed by a chat with the artists, oriented by Mónica Guerreiro.
